Dr Omar Niazi

Consultant Cardiologist/Consultant Physician based at Heart International Ltd.

Dr Niazi completed his MBBS and Post-Graduation in Cardiology from University of Punjab. In addition to this, he has also completed Bachelor of Science Degree and Master of English Literature.

After serving in Punjab from 1986 to 2002, he moved to Fiji in 2003 and joined the Ministry of Health and served in many pivotal roles such as the Chairman Drug & Therapeutic Committee, Chairman Mental Health (Northern Division), National Executive Member of NDTC and Acting Medical Supritendent of Labasa Hospital.

Upon Retirement in 2010, he joined Suva Private hospital and then moved to Heart International in March 2020 to continue his love of serving people of Fiji.

Furthermore, his passion for academics has continuously led him to take out time for educational programmes on TV and radio to create public awareness about health and well-being.
